General

What is Gatevia?
Gatevia is a centralized cryptocurrency exchange (CEX) that supports Spot trading, Liquidity Pools (AMM), Mining Pools, Staking Pools, and community-driven coin listings.
Does Gatevia require KYC?
No. Standard trading does not require KYC. However, Gatevia reserves the right to request verification in cases of suspicious account activity or manual account recovery.
Is Gatevia a custodial exchange?
Yes. Deposited assets are securely held by the exchange until withdrawn by the user.
Which cryptocurrencies are supported?
Gatevia supports native blockchain coins as well as tokens on supported networks (e.g., ERC20, BEP20), depending on the specific listing.

Spot Trading

What is Spot Trading?
Spot Trading is a traditional order book market where buyers and sellers place limit orders. Trades occur only when buy and sell orders match.
How is the Spot price determined?
The Spot price is determined exclusively by completed trades on the order book. Gatevia does not manually set or manipulate market prices.
Does Gatevia create fake trading volume?
No. All displayed trading volume is calculated from executed trades only. No artificial trading volume is generated by the exchange.
Can anyone create trading activity?
Yes. Trading activity depends entirely on market participants. Higher activity generally results in tighter spreads and better liquidity.

Deposits, Withdrawals & Transfers

How do deposits and withdrawals work?
Deposits are fully automated. Withdrawals are processed automatically in 99% of cases. However, if the system detects an anomaly or a withdrawal exceeds the limit for a specific cryptocurrency, it will require manual approval by our staff.
What should I check before making a deposit?
Users must ensure they are using the correct blockchain network and meet the minimum deposit requirements to avoid permanent loss of funds:
What are Redeem Codes?
Redeem Codes allow you to instantly transfer coins to another user. The generated code is entirely private unless you share it.
  • 1. Generate: Funds are deducted from your balance to create a unique code.
  • 2. Share: Send the code to anyone. It's a one-time voucher.
  • 3. Receive: The recipient gets the funds instantly in their main wallet.
  • 4. Cancel & Refund: Made a mistake? Click the trash icon to delete an active code and get a 100% refund to your balance.

Liquidity Pools

What is a Liquidity Pool?
A Liquidity Pool is an automated market maker (AMM) that allows users to swap assets directly against a shared liquidity pool. Liquidity providers deposit both assets and receive a share of swap fees.
Does creating a Liquidity Pool increase Spot volume?
No. Spot Trading and Liquidity Pools are independent systems. Creating a pool does not place orders into the Spot order book and does not increase Spot trading volume.
Why are Spot and Liquidity Pools separated?
This architecture keeps both systems independent. Spot markets are driven by limit orders, while Liquidity Pools are driven by AMM pricing. Each serves a different purpose.
Can Spot and Liquidity Pool prices differ?
Yes. Since both systems operate independently, their prices may temporarily differ until arbitrageurs balance them out.

Listings

How can I list my coin?
Submit a Listing Application through the Gatevia dashboard. Every project is manually reviewed before approval.
Is there an application fee?
No. Submitting a listing application is free. Listing fees are payable only after approval.
What listing methods are available?
Gatevia currently supports Immediate Listing and Community Crowdfunding.
What is Community Crowdfunding?
Instead of paying the listing fee directly, the community can collectively fund the listing. If the funding goal is reached before the campaign expires, the coin is listed. If it fails, all contributions are refunded.
Security Note: Upon approval, our team will contact you exclusively from [email protected] to guide you through the secure deployment process.

API & Market Data

What is base_volume vs quote_volume?
  • base_volume: Total amount of the base asset traded (e.g., 350 VECO).
  • quote_volume: Total traded value in the quote asset (e.g., 0.82 LTC).
The old `volume` field is retained only for backward compatibility. New integrations should always use base and quote volumes.
How are API requests authenticated?
Private API requests require an API Key, Nonce, and an HMAC-SHA256 Signature.
Why might 3rd-party sites show incorrect volume?
Gatevia publishes both base and quote volumes. If an external tracker incorrectly interprets these fields, the displayed volume may be inaccurate. We cannot control how external websites parse our public API data.
How are 24h High/Low and Last Price calculated?
They are calculated exclusively from all completed trades during the previous 24 hours. The Last Price is the price of the most recent completed trade.

Security & Administration

Who can request a delisting?
The official project team may request a delisting. Gatevia may require ownership verification before processing the request.
What happens when a coin is delisted?
Trading and deposits are disabled. Withdrawals remain available until the announced deadline. After wallet decommissioning, remaining balances may no longer be recoverable.
Are all projects automatically listed?
No. Every submission is manually reviewed by our staff before approval.
